Smart Hands Dutch event report: resourceful and skillful into the future!

Monday 28th of November, the Dutch version of a series of Smart Hands events took place in Surhuisterveen: resourceful and skillful into the future!

At Singelland school, we shared the results of our Erasmus+ project with several educators, lesson developers, managers, parents and entrepreneurs.

We explained how the project was set up, how we organised international online workshops during Covid-19 and explained the toolkits we developed. As an inspiring keynote, Tim, the travelling teacher, spoke about his experiences with international education systems.

During the second part, we offered four workshops. The Smart Hands Start Kit was extensively tested, pupils from OSG Singelland presented their experiences in Romania and Finland, a Golden Hands workshop, and a brainstorming about the continuous learning line from primary education all the way to vocational (VET) and higer education (HE) and how Smart Hands fits in.

We got clear feedback from the visitors about their ideas on multidisciplinary lessons and how our Smart Hands Kit, among others, can help them in this.

"If we sit down together for one more hour, I'll have a lesson plan ready in no time!" Spoke one participant enthusiastically. "You make completely different combinations than usual, very inspiring" spoke another.

On Tuesday 6 December, we will share our work and experiences with an international group in Brussels. Hopefully their reactions will also be positive!
